Please Help Your Gun Club – Note From The President
Dear TGC Membership,
It has been a very busy and productive year for the club. We have had record income for the past 12 months which has allowed us to make many improvements.
We have added a new ladies room, a new steel plate rack, four popper targets, rebuilt the berms between, bays 1, 2 and 3 as well as a completely new berm behind pistol bay 1. Last but not least we have a new 600-yard rifle range.
The initial dirt work is finished but there is still a lot that needs to be done on the new range. At this point, we are asking club members to volunteer some time and if you have it, some equipment to the cause.
We need some drags that can be pulled to smooth the ground. If you have a drag or 4-wheeler, side-by-side, other ATV or small tractor, we could use your help smoothing in the new area to aid in mowing and general grounds maintenance.
If you have any equipment that could be used for dressing up the roads, ditches, berms and grounds, etc, the club could use your help. This would include tractors with loaders, box blades, discs as well as other types of earth moving or finishing equipment, such as dozers, backhoes, etc.
We could also use anyone with welding skills and equipment to help fabricate new shooting benches for the 600-yard range.
We have put a lot of time, effort and money into providing more opportunities for the membership and are now asking for volunteers to help make the club even better. If you have the time, skills or equipment to help even a little please call Club President Jim Taylor at 903-244-8020 so we can help coordinate your efforts.
Remember, growing our club allows us to do more for everyone, help us recruit new members. Membership dues provide the majority of the Club’s funds.
This is your club, help us make it a better place to shoot.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! We’re looking forward to a great 2018.
