D-Day 2025 Match Is Coming Soon – Details
It is just a couple of weeks away, the annual Texarkana Gun Club D-Day Match, on Friday, 6/6/2025, the shooting will start at 9:00 AM…
Considering that most of our shooters are seniors, we will once again shoot the match seated on the benches, across a rucksack, or some type of cloth rolled rest, sleeping bag, etc. with your hand under the rifle, no benchrest rifle rests, and no rear bag rest.
Unlimited fighters are allowed, stop, tape, and then fire 10 rounds for score on an SR-1 target, at 100 yards.
M1 Garand – wikipedia
Each class will score separately, classes will be:
- M1 Garand
- M1Carbine
- M1903/A3
- “any other weapon”… example 98 Mauser, British 303…
Each class will be $5.00 to shoot and a $20.00 maximum.
We know other rifles could have seen use on D-Day, and if you have one and want to use it you are more than welcome to. A class will be made for anything you wish to shoot with
