Don’t miss…
The BANG & CLANG 250! Happy Birthday, America!
This is not our usual Powder Burn Bang & Clang, which we are still planning to do to end the year, of course. This one is special because America is special, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate this country’s 250th birthday.
Set Up Help Needed!
This match involves a lot of steel plates and poppers; your help is needed to set up the match on Friday, July 3, around 8 AM. If you’re a TGC member, this does count toward range assistance and will get you that $25 discount at renewal, which is coming up at the August meeting.
Match Description:
250 steel targets will be set up on seven courses of fire, and then we take turns shooting them as fast as we can. This is all about having fun. Yes, we will have someone running a timer, and technically, there will be a “winner”, but nobody cares. This is all about having a great time with your 2nd Amendment-loving American friends on July 4th.
Match Details:
Format: This will be USPSA-style move-and-shoot. However, this is an Outlaw Match and is not sanctioned by USPSA, Steel Challenge, or anyone else with half a brain, just us.
Shoot What Ya Brung: .22 pistols/rifles, 9mm, Production, Limited, .40, .45, Pistol Caliber Carbine, etc. Iron sights or optic, if it’s legal to shoot in USPSA or Steel Challenge, you can shoot it in the Bang-n-Clang 250.
Large Round-Count Stages: 1 or 2 stages may have 35-40 pieces of steel; you need multiple mags within reach to be able to change them rapidly.
When using .22s on falling steel, either visual or audible hits will be scored, even if the plates don’t fall.
How Much?
Cost for the match is $25 per gun, with a maximum of 2 guns per shooter.
What Time?
Sign-up starts at 9:30 AM, and shooting starts at about 10 AM. Pre-registration is available now at Practiscore.com. Payment is due upon check-in at the club.
Bonus: You will still have plenty of time to take the kids to see some fireworks later.
