TGC Double Locks Up Soon – Renewal By Mail Instructions

Happy July 4th Weekend Club Members!

August will be here before you know it, which means it’s almost time for renewal. Here are a few things to remember from your Texarkana Gun Club:

Membership Renewal: Tuesday, August 26

Renewal cards have been mailed out; you should have them by now, or soon, if we have your correct address.

On renewal night at the meeting on August 25, the doors will open at 5 PM, and we should be done and out of the building by 7 PM.

Mail Instructions:

By now, most of you should have received the orange renewal card reminder in the mail.

If you plan to renew by mail, be sure to tape your old key between two pieces of a cereal box in the envelope so it won’t punch through and get lost. Even better, use a padded mailer envelope. These keys are expensive, and many do not make it back to us. Which will slow an already slow process down.

*NOTE: Speaking of slow… If renewing by mail, please allow up to 3 weeks for your new key to arrive. If you want to get it faster, show up for the August meeting, or send someone to the meeting to take care of the renewal for you.

What To Bring to the August Renewal Meeting:

Tuesday night, August 25, 2026 is renewal night. If you are going to renew your membership in person, please bring:

  • Your old key
  • Proof of current NRA membership
  • Cash/check for renewal
  • Address change if needed
  • Renewal fees are $100.

If you have participated in range cleanup, repairs, match setups, and/or breakdowns, then your fee is reduced to $75… and we thank you very much for your help.

Double-Lock System:

For new members and as a reminder for the rest of us, the double-locking system is once again in place at the gun club gates. Please leave the locks as you see them in the photo, or else some members will not be able to get into (or in some cases, out of) the club.

NO, NO, NO – Not Like This:

As you can see in the example above, only one of the big silver locks will allow entry. This is the wrong way to do it.

Thanks very much!
