Flag Replacement Ceremony This Saturday Morning, November 18 at 8:45
Troop 3 presents new US Flag, June 2015
Texarkana Gun Club is very proud of our flag that flies high over the center of our range, however the one currently flying is getting pretty rough and it’s time to replace that grand old flag. So this Saturday, November 18 at 8:45AM just before the November Rifle Match begins, Boy Scout Troop 3 will join us once again to retire the current stars and stripes and replace it with a brand new flag.
Everyone and anyone is invited to this short ceremony to honor our nations flag.

Notes From The September Meeting
It came up at the meeting last night and we wanted to remind everyone about this so there’s no confusion.
If you want to use the range while a match is still in progress, you may be allowed to do so depending on several factors, but it is always up to the Match Director or designated Match Director or Range Officer. » Read more
Rifle Range Temporarily Closed
Attention Texarkana Gun Club members: The rifle range has to to be shut down for about a week as some tree harvesting goes on just on the other side of the berm. This also effects the Plinker Plus match set for this Saturday as as well. That match will have to be cancelled unfortunately. Again, do not use the rifle range starting Thursday, September 22 – Thursday, September 29. Hopefully we’ll be back to normal by then but please check back here first before you make the drive to the range.

Officer Changes And More At Your TGC Meeting In August
If you missed the meeting last Tuesday, August 23, you missed a lot.
The officers and membership would like to thank outgoing President Bill Vickers for his time and service to the Club and at the same time welcome incoming President Jim Taylor. Jim is a long-time member of the club and past President as well.
Other changes include Jim Standridge stepping down as Secretary, replaced by Bradley Tucker. Jim will stay on as webmaster. Also, Membership Director duties will be added to Treasurer Ron Hoehn. Thanks to all for volunteering their time and talents.
We had over 100 members show up to renew their membership and the get their new keys.
By the way, the “double lock” system is currently on the gate and will remain that way until September 30. At that point only the new lock will be on the gate. If you’re planning on renewing, be sure you get that done soon. The lock configuration looks like the picture below, please keep it this way so members can use either key until the old lock is removed.
