TRASH

Thanks to all the members who are cleaning up the bays when they finish shooting. For those who our not it’s simple when you finish shooting put your TARGETS in the burn barrels, other members and I are tried of picking up after you.

TRASH

When I became President two years ago we had a super nice clean, well kept facility, I have often compared our 200 yard rifle range to a Golf course. But now it seems we have a problem, “TRASH”. We have a maintenance man, but its not his job to pick up your trash. So clean up after yourselves. The only solution I have is to raise dues and pay for someone to pick up after the TRASHERS . No one likes this ideal so lets police up after ourselves. When the shooter in the next bay starts to drive off leaving targets, or trash, please remind them that you don’t want an increase in dues. So please ask them to clean up the bay.

BRING MORE TRASH OUT OF THE BAYS THEN YOU TAKE IN

Match Directors

I attended our matches this month and last. Texarkana Gun Club is very fortunate to have the Quality and Dedicated Match Directors that we have. If you want to shoot a top level match, these directors provide them. 22 rimfire, custom centerfire, full race gun and 3 gun matches. This type of time and dedication can not be bought. It is only obtainable due to their passion for the sport. I would like to personally THANK each and everyone of you for making the TEXARKANA GUN CLUB a truly outstanding shooting facility.

A Note of Thanks From Jay Tucker!

We saw Jay Tucker today at the Steel Challenge match, (he wasn’t shooting), you know Jay, that’s the guy we have been raising money for to help get that hip replaced. Great news, he has a hip replacement surgery coming up in the next month or so.  He also asked me to send all of you who helped out at the matches, shot in the matches, purchased raffle tickets and some that just gave money a “sincere, bottom of his heart thank you.” He never would have been able to make this work without the generosity of his friends and shooting family.

He has one more fundraiser coming up at the Masonic Lodge in DeKalb which should get him over the top and very soon, on the operating table.

We wish you the very best of luck Jay, fingers crossed, prayers being said and positive energy will continue to flow your way till you are back shooting with us again.
