The September USPSA Match on Saturday, September 5 is Cancelled Due to… Mud

Well, TGC USPSA shooters we regret to inform you that our match scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, September 5, will have to be cancelled due to too much rain! Not rain on Saturday mind you but too much rain in August, of all months, and this week as well.

Texarkana is coming off the wettest August ever and this week we’ve had several toad stranglers in a row. Almost all of the pistol bays are nothing but mud right now and there’s no way it will dry up enough to be workable by tomorrow, so for the first time I can recall for an August match, we have to call it.

Everything should be fine by next weekend for the Steel Challenge match if it will stop raining for a few days.

We hope to see you next month for the USPSA match on Saturday, October 3.

USPSA Match Cancelled for May – However, We May Be Able to Restart Matches Next Weekend with the Steel Challenge

Yep, we’re missing doing them as much as you’re missing shooting in them but we’re going to have to cancel the USPSA match for this first weekend of May as well. However, things are looking pretty good to get our TGC Matches restarted with the Steel Challenge match on the second Saturday. The official decision will be made early next week so stay tuned.

If you have already registered for the May USPSA Match please log into Practiscore and make sure you are still registered for the June 6 match. If not, make whatever changes you need to. we hope to see you then!

Due to Eminent Thunderstorms, This Saturday’s Steel Challenge Has Been Cancelled

Sorry Steel Shooters, the forecast is just plain nasty for tomorrow, (April 13) so this weekends Steel Challenge is called off.

Saturday
Showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could be severe and produce heavy rainfall. High near 65. East wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
Saturday Night
Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 1am. Some of the storms could be severe. Cloudy, with a low around 47. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
