All matches at the Texarkana Gun Club have been cancelled until further notice. This now includes all matches in April.
The club is not closed… shooting can be done as an individual sport like running or walking. Club members can still go and use your club, just keep it way under 10 people and maintain your distance between each other please.
Stay in your homes as much as you can.
When you’re out, stay 6 feet apart from other people.
Wash your hands for 20 seconds several times a day.

Cherrie Curtis from Bowie Co. 4H has reserved the bay in the woods for all day Monday 5/6, Tuesday 5/7 and Wednesday 5/8th, for set up, an Archery Tournament and finish/cleanup, for the 4H kids.
The Bowie Co. 4H has also reserved Bay 4 for Sunday, June 23rd from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM.
Pistol Instructor Dustin Higby, has reserved Bay 4 (formerly Bay 1) from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM Saturday, June 29th.

You heard right, the new Trap machine, voted on during the last club meeting, has been ordered and is already on the way. It’s an Atlas machine if you’re curious, and should be here next week.

Ron Hoehn, our current Membership Director and Treasurer, is interested in splitting out the position of Membership Director and continue the duties of Treasurer. The fact is that neither job is easy, both are time-consuming, when you put them both together it’s a bit much for one volunteer to take on.
If you are interested in this position with the club, please let club President Jim Taylor and/or Ron know, especially if you have any questions.
